Community Events
The Bridge Center for Hope is committed to increasing awareness about mental health and substance use disorders in our community. Throughout the year, the Bridge Center collaborates with community partners to provide resources that will educate the community on crisis services and has the privilege of participating in community events across our parish designed to provide information and resources. These events provided a platform to showcase the Bridge Center’s services and engage in meaningful conversations about mental health, substance use treatment and prevention.
Bridging the Gap Community Resource Fair
Each year, during May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, the Bridge Center for Hope hosts the Annual Bridging the Gap Community Resource Fair. The goal of this annual event is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and addiction in the East Baton Rouge Parish community.
The event offers an opportunity for the citizens and community partners to understand the services provided by The Bridge Center for Hope. Additionally, they can learn about various agencies and organizations that offer critical services to deal with mental and behavioral health challenges faced by our community. The event aims to break down barriers and silos around mental health and other community services and foster new partnerships with service providers to heal the whole person.
The Community Partner Resource Guide contains a list of all participating community partners for this year’s event and the services they offer. The event is free, and no registration is required. To stay informed about upcoming community events, please sign up for The BRIDGE newsletter below.
